Video Captures 10-Foot Alligator Roaming Myrtle Beach Neighborhood

An alligator estimated at 10 feet in length was spotted Sunday in the Myrtle Beach Golf & Yacht Club neighborhood.

Videos how the alligator as it walked across yards, driveways, and even someone’s front porch. Videos are common in the area and this sighting is unique due to the size of the animal. Though once listed as a federally endangered species, populations have rebounded and the alligator’s status has been upgraded to threatened. South Carolina does allow alligator hunting during a DNR approved season.

As of Monday, the alligator was still free and roaming the area.
