Teen awarded Girl Scouts' highest honor for journal to help parents of preemies

A California high school senior achieved the Girl Scouts’ top rank, the Gold Award, for authoring and publishing a book for new parents of premature babies. The book was personal for Katie Gladding, who was a preemie herself. She raised funds and produced 200 journals to distribute to NICUs in the Sacramento area. The Folsom, California, teen is also making pdfs of the journals available
