NC COVID-19 metrics still going down as restrictions are lifted

Cases in North Carolina: 849,630 lab-confirmed cases with 11,074
deaths. DHHS reported 3,346 new cases on Wednesday. The percentage of positive test results is averaging 6.0% over the last two weeks. NCDHHS is reporting that 1,530 people are hospitalized statewide due to COVID-19.

Cases in South Carolina: 438,861 total cases of COVID-19 with 7,460 deaths. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 896 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. DHEC is reporting 20 new confirmed deaths. The percentage of positive tests is 8.8%. SCDHEC is reporting that 968 people are hospitalized statewide due to COVID-19.
