Horizon Records Previews Record Store Day Happening this Saturday

THIS SATURDAY for RSD Drop1 8am – 8pm

This is JB reporting from Gene’s desk, with one last shout before Record Store Day Drop 1 which is this Saturday from 8am to 8pm. Yea, we have been receiving these exclusive releases from different labels and distributors for the past few weeks and this Saturday, they will be  available for the public. There’s all kind of goodies this time around. There are certainly titles that us staffers would like to add to our own collections. RESIST THE URGE we tell ourselves… Or not!

Click here for our Drop1 roundup or click here for the complete list.  As always with RSD product, there’s no holds and no guarantees. We order a bunch of stuff,  not all of it actually ships and we sell what we have and then that’s that. There’s a certain mania to the whole thing, I guess that’s why we use the screaming lady on the graphic. We’re glad to participate, but when it’s over we are also glad to get back to the week in and out of sourcing and stocking LPs & CDs that we love and curating for an experience that we think our shoppers will enjoy. I guess we just like being your neighborhood record store so thanks for the support!

We do have a few new releases outside of the RSD stuff. See the features below as well as pictures of some Drop1 goodies. Don’t forget to check out our newish online store at shop.horizonrecords.net. It doesn’t replace the record store experience but it is another way that we can serve our customers in the 21st century.

It has allowed us to start offering pre-orders which seems to be a win for everybody. You can secure that uber limited indie-exclusive neon  splatter version of your favorite artists release and we know how many to bring in the house. We offer counter pick-up, curbside or direct shipping. I know, it’s brilliant!

Here are a few key pre-orders for your consideration; just click through the links and reserve your copy!
