Melvin entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay in 2013 out of Northern Illinois.
From that time, he has been on active, off-season or practice squad rosters for the Buccaneers, Dolphins, Ravens, Patriots, Colts, Raiders, Lions, and Jaguars.
Last season, Melvin opted out of playing with Jacksonville due to COVID-19.
