Facebook deleted a Trump post that falsely claimed the flu can be more deadly than Covid-19

Twitter put up a warning label for misleading information on an identical Trump post.

Facebook deleted one of Trump’s posts today for violating the company’s policies against harmful health misinformation. This was only the second time Facebook has taken down a post from the president for violating its misinformation policies.

On Tuesday morning, President Trump — fresh out of the hospital after contracting Covid-19 — posted to his Facebook account, falsely stating that the flu can be more deadly than Covid-19.
