Due to COVID-19 health concerns, many experienced poll workers, many of which are older, are deciding not to participate in the upcoming November election to protect themselves and their families. “Health reasons, caregivers for somebody, family members, the doctor’s orders, those are some of the reasons that we have had,” said Executive Director of the Pickens County Board of Voter Registration and Elections Travis Alexander.
