Biltmore Estate will suspend tours of the Biltmore House among other precautions in response to the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. According to its website, Biltmore Estate said the new policy follows social distancing recommendations from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, which suggests reducing gatherings of 100 or more people.As a result, Biltmore will suspend a number of guest experiences, including all tours of Biltmore House. Nearby shops and restaurants are also under suspension, including Bookbinder’s, A Christmas Past, Confectionery, Toymaker’s, Stable Café, The Bake Shop and the Biltmore Dairy Bar.Downton Abbey: The Exhibition, located at Amherst at Deerpark is also suspended along with estate shuttle transportation with the exception of ADA-assistance shuttles.
