It takes a lot of moxie to proffer a Thanksgiving Day marriage proposal in The New York Times. Or maybe it takes a lot of faith in a relationship, or just plain love. Furman University alumna Lauren Few, a 2006 psychology graduate, Riley Institute intern and member of the Women’s Basketball team, hatched her plan to propose to Taylor Hollenkamp with a little help from The Times’s call for “gratitude in six words” to its readers. Spoiler alert – she said yes!
