SC gov. to declare state of emergency, order Lancaster, Kershaw County schools to close

Gov. Henry McMaster will declare a state of emergency throughout South Carolina to enhance the state’s response to the COVID-19 virus’ impact.THE LATEST | Coronavirus updates on WYFF4.COMCiting the fact that Kershaw and Lancaster counties are the only areas in the state in which there is evidence of community spread of the coronavirus, McMaster’s order will also direct that schools in those counties will be closed for a period of 14 days.
