Rhule is concerned about Short’s status for Sunday’s trip to Tampa Bay since he didn’t practice. But the head coach said he’ll continue to monitor Short throughout the rest of the week.

Although cornerback Donte Jackson left the season-opening loss to the Raiders and did not return with an ankle injury, he was a full participant Wednesday. That’s a positive sign for his potential availability against the Buccaneers.

Left guard Dennis Daley is unlikely to be available for Week 2. He missed another practice, with Rhule saying he didn’t have much hope the second-year guard would be available for Sunday’s game. Michael Schofield will continue to play left guard in Daley’s place.
