CHARLOTTE – Defensive end Brian Burns is listed as questionable for Sunday’s trip to Washington, giving him a slightly better chance to play than the three Panthers who are doubtful.
That’s the designation for running back Christian McCaffrey (thigh), left tackle Russell Okung (calf) and cornerback Troy Pride Jr. (hip).
For McCaffrey, it would be his 12th missed game this season. Okung has been limited to seven games, while Pride has appeared in every game as a rookie.
Burns has played in all 30 games since the Panthers made him a first-round draft pick in 2019. He has a team-high 8.0 sacks this season and is the only Panther with at least 5.0 sacks. Washington has four players with at least that many (Montez Sweat – 7.0, Ryan Kerrigan – 5.5, Chase Young – 5.5, Tim Settle – 5.0).
