A man was found dead along Main Street in Greenville on Monday.

“We responded to 17 South Main Street in Greenville for a report of a male unresponsive in the roadway,” Greenville County coroner Parks Evans said in a news release. “This individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause and manner of death is pending autopsy findings and further investigation by the Greenville City Police Department and the Coroner’s Office.”

Police say they have a few leads and are considering the man’s death to be suspicious.
