Actor Tyler Perry recently paid it forward to 42 servers who are out of work at an Atlanta restaurant, according to reports.
He left a hefty $21,000 tip for all of them, so each of the 42 workers got a $500 tip from him, WSB-TV reported.
Perry is reportedly a big fan of Houston’s restaurant in Atlanta. Since restaurants across the country have closed dine-in options to slow the spread of coronavirus, Perry has frequently gotten take-out from the chain eatery, TMZ reported.
Philanthropy is nothing new for Perry. He founded The Perry Foundation in 2006, and last year, said he planned to add a shelter for women, girls and LGBT youth onto his new studio, O Magazine reported.
And in December 2018, he paid off Walmart layaway for customers at two locations, contributing more than $400,000, according to reports.
