After a weekend article in the Atlantic featuring Bill Barr stating that Trump’s calls of voter fraud were “bullshit”, Donald Trump lashed out Sunday against his former Attorney General.
Trump’s Statement on Bill Barr
“Bill Barr was a disappointment in every sense of the word,” Trump said in a statement issued late Sunday. “Besides which, Barr, who was Attorney General (lawyer) shouldn’t be speaking about the President.”
“Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election,” Trump continued. “Just like he did with the Mueller report and the cover up of Crooked Hillary and RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century, the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!”
Should Barr Have Spoken Sooner
Michigan Republicans Also Debunk Trump’s Claims of Voter Fraud
Trump’s comments come as his claims of voter fraud were also debunked by Michigan Republicans last week. In a new report, Republican-led Michigan Senate Oversight Committee rebutted former President Donald Trump’s voter fraud claims, saying “As is often the case, the truth is not as attractive or as immediately desirable as the lies and the lies contain elements of truth,” state Sen. Ed McBroom, the Republican chairman of the committee that investigated the election, said in a statement that accompanied the report. “We must all remember: ‘extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof’ and ‘claiming to find something extraordinary requires first eliminating the ordinary. ….. “This Committee found no evidence of widespread or systematic fraud in Michigan’s prosecution of the 2020 election.”
