Tropical Weather Bulletin – June 22, 2021

Tropical Storm Claudette is back, now off the east coast of the United States an on its way out. In the deep tropics though, another area of interest is rumbling in the Main Development Region, and could affect the Leeward Islands this weekend.
In the Eastern Pacific, two areas of interest could form in the favourable environment currently off the coast of Mexico, where more land impacts can’t be ruled out.
In the Western Pacific, Tropical Storm 06W still hasn’t received an official name, and is now starting to draw away from Guam, moving towards the northwest. The storm is expected to recurve and intensify somewhat in the next couple of days.
