After a soft opening last week, local food and craft beer lovers can now officially sample the 12,000 square food hall at The Commons Greenville! Officially announced in 2015, The Commons is another incredible project driven from the popularity of the Swamp Rabbit Trail and will prove to be a great addition to the city of Greenville.
When you arrive, head over to the expansive new bar that anchors the new Trailside Tap at The Commons location. With a huge selection of craft beer on tap and wines by the glass, the Trailside Tap is a great place to start your visit to The Commons. As the food hall is a common space, grab your glass and feel free to explore the other offerings. If the weather is warm, head out to the patio and enjoy a great view of the Reedy River and bikers as they pass on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Make Sure to Come Hungry!
Fans of the local food truck scene will be thrilled to see the new Automatic Taco & GB&D locations. I was lucky enough to attend the soft opening last week and was excited to see all of my old favorites on the Automatic Taco menu along with new offerings like craft margaritas, salads, sweet potato donuts, homemade guacamole and salsa. GB&D has a tasty selection of burgers and is looking at serving brunch at the new Commons location as well.
Just want a cup of coffee? You are in luck as the Methodical Coffee location is also launching today with a full cafe. Methodical plans to open each day at 7am and with free Wi-Fi, it is a great choice for people looking to meet clients downtown or get in a little work while enjoying their delicious array of coffees. The coffee is so good, you may want to take home a bag of roasted beans for later.
In the next few weeks, the Bake Room plans to open as well at The Commons. The Bake Room will offer a wide array of breads, pastries and more. Look for them to open soon and you can follow their progress here.
The Commons is an incredible concept that is giving local Greenville businesses a perfect space to showcase their talents. With convenient access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail and easy parking, The Commons is a great new gathering spot to enjoy some of the best of Greenville!
