TD Bank Reedy River Run Cancelled

The 2020 edition of the TD Bank Reedy River Run, which had initially been rescheduled for September 5, has now been cancelled  due to safety concerns  related to COVID-19.

Statement From the Race Directors

“We are extremely disappointed that we will not be able to conduct the TD Bank Reedy River Run this year due to concerns and  restrictions related to the uncertainty presented by COVID-19,” stated race director Mike Caldwell. “We explored all options  to hopefully provide a safe event utilizing physical distancing protocols, staggered starting processes, etc. However, with anticipated size limitations on group gatherings and other concerns, we must cancel the event for this year. The safety of our participants, volunteers and sponsors is our primary concern.”

We will be contacting each registered participant via email with several options regarding their registrations, including deferral to the 2021 event, a partial refund of entry fees or a donation to the Greenville Track Club’s Youth Running Program.

While we won’t celebrate with the Reedy River Run this year, we are already looking ahead to April 17, 2021 to conduct the 43rd edition of this historic road race.
