Business Recovery Task Force Launches “Greater Greenville Pledge”
Pledge Encourages Greenville County Businesses to Reopen Responsibly

As South Carolina restaurants resume modified dine-in service and retailers, service businesses and manufacturers begin to reopen, the Business Recovery Task Force, a collaboration between The City of Greenville, Greenville County, the Greenville Chamber and the Greenville Area Development Corporation, has launched the Greater Greenville Pledge.

By taking the pledge, a business declares that it is taking steps based upon guidance from the CDC and DHEC to:

Promote Social Distancing Limit Capacity Monitor the Health of Employees Clean Frequently Encourage Face Covering & Hand Sanitizing

The Greater Greenville Pledge is the marketing campaign from the Business Recovery Task Force (BRTF) to reopen businesses responsibly. The campaign includes a website containing  reopening and recovery information. It provides easily accessible, bi-lingual resources and guidance for small business.

“As we begin the important work of reopening our economy, we encourage area businesses to take the Pledge. By taking precautions, as well as sharing the message that ‘Greenville is Open for Business,’ businesses can play an active role in restoring customer and employee confidence ,” said Greenville Chamber President/CEO Carlos Phillips.

In the coming days, GreaterGreenvillePledge.com will offer participating businesses a downloadable marketing package to include window and counter signage. Area businesses can post photos with the #GreaterGVLPledge on Instagram and Twitter to be included in the campaign. Once a business has completed the online pledge their location will be mapped and posted on the website.
