Support Our Local Restaurants! Today is #CarryOutWednesday

With such uncertain times and new restrictions on how we can live our lives, we are coming together as a community more than ever. As many of us know by now, restaurants have been restricted to only allowing carry-out, drive-through, and delivery options in order to help maintain safe social distancing and safety of employees and customers.

With all these new restrictions in place, our local restaurants and businesses need us now more than ever, that is why the #CarryOutWednesday movement began. This movement encourages people to support local restaurants through carry-out, drive-through, or delivery services on Wednesdays, or really any day of the week.

Some restaurants have become very creative with these new restrictions, for example, Upcountry Provisions in Traveler’s Rest created a drive-through area, and are now offering delivery within 5 miles. Other places like Stone Pizza in Greenville are offering curbside pickup with beer and wine to-go options as well. Additionally, they are also offering great discounts on delivery apps such as GrubHub, DoorDash, and Bitesquad. In Spartanburg, Rapid Fire Pizza is showing off their rapid skills by allowing curbside orders and pickup, simply pull up and order your pizza and in 180 seconds it will be ready and brought out to your car!

Even if you’re not hungry, or you’ve stocked up on enough food for a few weeks, you can support your local business by purchasing gift cards to be given away or used at a later date.

Let’s support our local restaurants by carrying out on Wednesdays or any other day of the week too. Click the link here to view a list of restaurants that are participating in carry-out programs: HERE

We encourage all of our readers to stay safe, stay informed of local safety requirements, and of course, don’t forget to wash your hands.
