When: January 19th
Time: 7:30pm
It was barely over nine months ago on March 27, 2018 when the Carolina Music Museum gave Greenville a new concept for a museum, and for a good part of that magical evening Stephanie Schmidt, from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she is pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in their Historic Keyboard Performance program, played the “Lyles” square piano (by Robert Nunns, Clark & Company) on the second floor. Now, she returns for an evening of American popular music from the early part of the 19th Century, matching the music to the instrument, and giving us a glimpse into what we were whistling and singing together way back then. American history reflected in its music–a happy spoonful of music does help the history go down! Call 864-520-8807 for your tickets. $20 for adults, $5 for students 6-18. Beer and wine will be available.
