Just months after the launch of the Covid-19 vaccines in South Carolina, the state is reporting very encouraging news regarding new infections of the virus. Monday saw SC DHEC report only 144 new and probable Covid-19 cases statewide with Greenville County reporting only 8 new cases and Spartanburg reporting 4. The good news continues as the state reported zero deaths on Monday.
45.5% of South Carolina residents have now gotten at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 38.2% have completed two doses. 1,953,820 residents have gotten at least one dose of Covid vaccine in the state.
These numbers are incredible given the fact that earlier in the year, South Carolina was reporting over 1000 new cases every day.
