South Carolina Highway Patrol announced the arrest of Mantavious McMorris as the driver of the truck involved in the fatal hit and run last week just off the Swamp Rabbit Trail near Sulphur Springs Road.

McMorris is charged with hit-and-run with death, reckless homicide, habitual offender causing death when license has been suspended, cancelled, or revoked, and driving under suspension 3rd offense. 

The suspect has been on the run since the accident took place at 1:30 p.m. last Sunday afternoon.
