Greenville, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced today that the American Country Music Award nominated artist Parmalee will play a post-game concert on January 7. The concert will follow the Swamp Rabbits 5 p.m. game against the South Carolina Stingrays.
Tickets to the game can be purchased at SwampRabbits.com/country/ or by calling the Swamp Rabbits at (864) 674-PUCK. A ticket to the game gets you into the post-game concert for no additional charge.
Country Night will mark the Swamp Rabbits first home game of 2017 as they face off against their intra-division rivals from Charleston. Parmalee will open the night by singing the National Anthem before puck drop. Special VIP ticket packages are available for purchase that will enable fans to have the opportunity to meet the band, take pictures, and receive autographs during the first intermission.
Parmalee will take the stage at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena after the Swamp Rabbits and Stingrays have finished the contest on the Sandlapper Securities Rink. The 2016 ACM nominee for “New Vocal Group of the Year” will grace the stage at the Well for a one hour post-game show, free of charge to the fans in attendance.
The band from the small town of Parmele, North Carolina, is comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox, and life-long friend Josh McSwain. The group has have been heralded as “Country Music’s Breakout Stars” by MSN Entertainment and released multiple top ten songs on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. Parmalee’s 2013 single “Carolina” reached number one on the chart. They are also one of only three groups since 2001 to have three consecutive Top 10 singles on a debut Country album.

TEDDY BEAR TOSS / SING FOR SANTA | Friday, December 2 | 7:00 p.m.: The Swamp Rabbits’ annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Bon Secours St. Francis Health System is back for the 7th season! Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the game and after the Swamp Rabbits score their first goal, throw the furry friends over the glass onto the Sandlapper Securities Rink! All stuffed animals will be collected and donated to the U.S. Marines’ Toys For Tots program. Local Elementary and Middle School students will put fans in the holiday spirit by singing everyone’s favorite Christmas and holiday themed songs throughout the game as they Sing for Santa! SUPERHERO / PRINCESS NIGHT | Saturday, December 3 | 7:00 p.m.: Come down to the Well and meet with your favorite superheroes and princesses throughout the Swamp Rabbits game versus the South Carolina Stingrays! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Captain America, and Spiderman will all be on hand for autographs, pictures, and to cheer on the Swamp Rabbits! In addition, the Swamp Rabbits will remember the Upstate’s own Superhero, Jacob Hall with a special Chuck-a-Carrot promotion to benefit a charity designated by the Hall family. Fans are encouraged to dress as superheroes, help a great cause, and have a SUPER night!
