CHARLOTTE – The Panthers made two more cuts before the start of the league year, creating another position of need on the depth chart.

The team officially released defensive tackle Zach Kerr Tuesday, following Monday’s release of wide receiver Amara Darboh.

Kerr’s release saved nearly $1.3 million worth of cap room.

He played in 13 games and started four last year, with two sacks and a forced fumble.

The 30-year-old Kerr has also spent time with the Colts, Broncos, and Cardinals, appearing in 88 games.

Darboh finished last season on the practice squad and signed a futures deal in January. He’s spent time with the Seahawks (where he began as a third-round pick in 2017), Patriots, Buccaneers, and Steelers. He has eight career receptions, all from his rookie season.
