Panthers claim three players off waivers

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers claimed three players off waivers following roster cuts on Saturday: defensive back Rasul Douglas, defensive end Shareef Miller, and offensive tackle Trent Scott.

The Eagles selected Douglas in the third round of the 2017 draft. The 6-foot-2, 209-pound cornerback played 46 games for Philadelphia, starting 18 over the last three seasons. In 2019 alone, Douglas started six games, recorded 10 passes defensed, and three tackles for loss. He has five career interceptions.

Miller was a fourth-round pick of the Eagles last year but made only one appearance as a rookie in Philadelphia’s Week 8 victory over Buffalo. The Penn State product had two special teams snaps in that contest.
