CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Matt Rhule won’t have to wait long to coach against Tom Brady.The first-year head coach leads his Carolina Panthers into Tampa Bay against the new Buccaneers quarterback Week 2 of the season.Before that, the Panthers will host the new-look Las Vegas Raiders at Bank of America stadium in Week 1, currently scheduled for September 13. The Raiders have added five Clemson Tigers to the roster over the last two drafts, and selected South Carolina wide receiver Bryan Edwards last month.Other notables on the schedule include a home game against Arizona and first-round pick Isaiah Simmons in Week 4, a primetime division match-up against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football in Week 8, and a road game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs the following Sunday.They’ll return home to host Tampa Bay in Week 10, before their bye week in early December.
