Olde Raleigh Distillery Wants to Take Bourbon Title From Kentucky

The forthcoming Zebulon distillery wants to be famous for its bourbon

Currently under construction in Zebulon, North Carolina, Olde Raleigh Distillery, a craft-spirits distillery specializing in small-batch whiskey blends run by proprietor, master blender and distiller Brandon McCraney, is slated to open its doors and add to the Triangle’s distillery scene in late 2020.

For his part, McCraney aims to take the spotlight off of Kentucky and establish the Triangle region as a new destination for bourbon. And the family-owned distillery will be kicking off their grand opening with a signature blended bourbon under their flagship brand, Olde Raleigh Whiskey Society, then adding cask-finished limited-release whiskeys, a line of vodka and gin under the name the Century Club, and a house-made heirloom bourbon.

Olde Raleigh Distillery is intended as a meaningful brand that gives back to the beloved community, says McCraney. The goal is to showcase the positive environmental and economic impacts
