‘Modern Family’ dog dies after filming series’ final episode

Stella, the dog cared for and loved by “Modern Family” character Jay Pritchett, has died.It happened after the sitcom filmed its series’ finale, according to news outlets.Pritchett, played by actor Ed O’Neill, sometimes seems to show more affection to the dog, whose real name was Beatrice, than the character’s wife, Gloria, played by Sofía Vergara.The French bulldog, who replaced another dog actress, was part of “Modern Family” for most of the fictional family’s series, People magazine reported.
