(CNN) — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, brushing aside Democratic concerns over the expedited timeframe for confirming Supreme Court nominee <a href=”https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/16/politics/barrett-questionnaire-supplemented-kfile/index.html” target=”_blank”>Amy Coney Barrett</a>, moved on Friday to cut off debate and set up a final confirmation vote eight days before the election.
