CHARLOTTE — If there was good news to be gleaned from Sunday’s 46-23 loss to the Buccaneers, it appears the Panthers did not lose their quarterback in the process.

While starter Teddy Bridgewater left the game late with a right knee injury, head coach Matt Rhule said Monday he expects to see Bridgewater on the field later this week.

“Teddy doesn’t have a significant injury,” Rhule said when asked for specifics about testing.

Given Bridgewater’s history with his traumatic left knee injury in 2016, the reason for concern is obvious, but it appears the signs are good at this point in the week. Rhule said that Bridgewater had been in for treatment, and the anticipation was that he’d practice on Wednesday, and they’d see how he responds then.
