Crash happened on Fairview Road

A man and a four-year-old passenger were killed in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon in Greenville County, according to Parks Evans, with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. on Fairview Road near New Harrison Bridge Road, according Master Trooper David Jones, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.According to Jones, the driver of a Chevy truck was heading north on Fairview Road when it crossed the center line striking a BMW head-on.The driver of the BMW and a juvenile in the back seat, who were both seat belted, died at the scene, Jones said.The Greenville County Coroner’s Office have identified the driver as Robert Hamilton, 66, of Simpsonville. The juvenile passenger as Alex Rogers, 4, of Fountain Inn.He said the victims were related.According to Jones, the truck driver, also seat belted, was taken to the hospital with injuries.The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Jones said.
