Latest on Elsa: Rain, Winds and Storm Threat Update

The heaviest rainfall from Elsa is positioned south of the Carolinas in Florida and Georgia, but some areas in the Carolinas could see 2-4″+ of rain, which includes portions of our eastern viewing area seeing over 2 inches of rain.

The center of Elsa will track just southeast of Charlotte which will bring widespread rain for Thursday morning to the Greater Charlotte area. Elsa will be positioned over NE North Carolina by the afternoon and by Thursday (July 8) evening, Elsa will be out of the Carolinas. Most of the rain will fall around the center of Elsa with a chance for isolated to scattered thunderstorms in its wake.
