Hurricane Iota rapidly exploded from a Category 1 hurricane Sunday morning to now a likely Category 5 hurricane, the strongest of 2020 and potentially strongest on record for the month of November, with landfall tonight in the same exact location in northeastern Nicaragua (RACCN) that Eta hit 13 days ago as a Category 4. Believe it or not, this isn’t it for Central America as a new threat could emerge in 4-5 days and move towards the region soon after, as the NHC has a 30% chance for development in the next 5 days.
