Growing up in Greenville meant growing up in a town where Professional Wrestling was a huge deal. From weekly television shows to Monday Night Wrestling at the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium, Greenville and the Upstate of South Carolina was a professional wrestling hotbed and I was a huge fan. So, when the opportunity presented itself to do a monthly wrestling podcast with Austin Idol, I immediately jumped at the chance.

I have known Austin for almost 10 years and while I never saw him wrestle in person, I was very aware of his career in the ring. As the holder of over a dozen wrestling titles and one of the best mic men in the history of the sport, Austin Idol’s reputation precedes him.

This podcast will be an opportunity to share stories from the golden age of professional wrestling and to highlight Austin’s new passion project the Austin Idol Universal Wrestling College. I say passion project because he is truly committed to helping make his students successful, as you will see in our first conversation.

WWE Monday Night Raw returns to Greenville December 9th. My son and I enjoyed a lot of these WWE events at The Well and it brings back a lot of fun memories.
