
SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) – Eastbound lanes of I-26 were blocked as deputies and first responders were called to a report of a person on a billboard over the interstate, according to the North Spartanburg Fire Department.
The situation unfolded on the New Cut Road overpass.
Our crew at the scene said the bridge was also closed.
Around 5:15 a.m. on Friday we confirmed that the individual had come down from the billboard. At that time, I-26 and New Cut Road were re-opened for normal traffic. Read more at foxcarolina.com
