Greenville Reports 12 New Cases of Covid-19; South Carolina Lags in Vaccination Rates

While Richland County lead the state with 50 new Covid-19 cases reported Thursday, Greenville County was third in the state with 12. However, the state reported only one death from Covid today.

Medical Doctors and SC DHEC continue to urge residents to get vaccinated as new highly infections Covid variants are now in South Carolina. While rates of COVID-19 hospitalizations are falling across the United States, the overwhelming majority of those getting sick and being hospitalized today are unvaccinated, while vaccinated patients admitted to the hospital are becoming rare. South Carolina is now 45th nationally in Covid Vaccination rate.
