The homestand begins with a postgame Friday Night Fireworks show on Friday, August 26th as the Drive begin a three-game series against the Asheville Tourists, an affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM, and fans are encouraged to grab their best Hawaiian shirts and beach hats to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Night at Fluor Field! All game long, the Drive will be allowing fans to channel their inner Parrothead with music from Jimmy Buffett and friends as well as in-game entertainment including a limbo competition, a Cheeseburger in Paradise eating contest and much more.

Come on down to Fluor Field on Saturday, August 27th and you could be the next contestant on Game Show Night! The evening’s entertainment will include Fluor Field game show staples such as Bi-Lo Plinko and Jeopardy-style trivia, as well as a nod to other game shows including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Family Feud and many more. Fan participation will be encouraged throughout the night, and although nobody will be given a brand new car, there are plenty of great prizes up for grabs!

The Drive will host Furman Fan Fest on Sunday, August 28th at Fluor Field. The event will provide Furman fans the opportunity to meet and greet, get autographs, and take pictures with their favorite 2016 Paladin football players as well as head coach Bruce Fowler. Sir Paladin will also be on hand along with Furman basketball MC, E-Dawg, the Furman cheerleaders, and the “Voice of the Paladins,” Dan Scott. Prior to the 4:05 PM game, the gates will open at 2:00 PM as the Drive team up with LiveWell Greenville and the U.S. Play Coalition for a “Day of Play” at Fluor Field. Kids of all ages will be invited onto the field to play fun games and hang out with Reedy Rip’It, and they are invited to stick around after the game for BlueCross BlueShield Kids Run the Bases.

Following an off day on Monday, the homestand continues on Tuesday, August 30thas the Drive welcome the Rome Braves, an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, to town. This three-game series will be the final chance to see the Drive’s talented roster in action in Downtown Greenville, so come on out to watch players such as Luis Alexander Basabe, Tate Matheny, Josh Ockimey and many more as they look to get the Drive into the South Atlantic League playoffs on their way to successful careers with the Red Sox.

On Wednesday, August 31st, the Drive will host GHS Family Night at Fluor Field. Greenville Health System and the Drive have a longstanding partnership, and the Drive will recognize the many accomplishments of GHS personnel with pregame honorary positions and in-game entertainment that will captivate fans of all ages. This is also the final Iron Pint Wednesday of the season, and fans over 21 can head to The Iron Yard 500 Club to purchase $3 Iron Pint glasses while enjoying the great food, drink and atmosphere.

The home schedule concludes on Thursday, September 1st with Dollar Drink Night presented by The Iron Yard at 7:05 PM. For the final Dollar Drink Night of the season, the Drive will have live music and entertainment in The Iron Yard 500 Club from Happy Ending, one of Greenville’s most unique cover bands that will play everything from alternative rock to today’s hits. Fans over 21 in The Iron Yard 500 Club can also enjoy networking with young professionals and $1 PBRs. The Fluor Field concession stands will be selling $1 Pepsi products beginning when the gates open at 6:00, and you’ll want to stick around after the game for the final postgame fireworks show of the season.
