Following the Drive’s longest road trip of the season, the team is back at home beginning on Wednesday, May 9th for a three-game homestand against the Kannapolis Intimidators, an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox in a rematch of the 2017 South Atlantic League Championship Series. It’s a quick, but action-packed homestand with beautiful weather in the forecast, top prospects taking the field, and three nights of promotions that will engage fans of all ages.

The homestand kicks off on Wednesday, May 9th with Drive for Excellence, celebrating the achievements of Greenville County student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom. All GCS student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA or higher will receive complimentary admission to the 7:05 PM game and be recognized all night long. The evening begins when gates open at 5:30 with a special reception for these student-athletes and their coaches, featuring guest speaker Landon Powell, the former South Carolina All-American and major leaguer for the Oakland Athletics, who currently is the head coach of North Greenville, the #1 ranked program in Division 2 baseball. During the game, on-field recognitions will honor the team with the highest GPA in each sport, as well as the school with the highest GPA among its student-athletes. Join us as we help celebrate these hard-working student-athletes of Greenville County.
Dollar Drink Night returns to Fluor Field on Thursday, May 10th! The 500 Club is the place to be for fans over 21, as the drink specials include $1 Keystone Light and $2 Coors Banquet/Miller High Life, and be sure to check out the new 500 Club food menu, which features a wide variety of shareable options! Thursday also features $1 Pepsi products at all Fluor Field concession stands, and this homestand will mark your first chance to try the Bacon Cheddar Ranch dog, the Carolina Pride Hot Dog of the Month for May.
The series against Kannapolis will conclude on Friday, May 11th with the Hubbell Lighting “Light it Up” Fireworks following the 7:05 PM game at Fluor Field. The musical theme for the fireworks show is 90’s Hits, and you’ll hear all your favorites from the end of the last millenium. The Drive’s Thirst Inning promotion will return on Friday as well. Stop by the beer carts on the first and third base sides of the concourse during the first inning for $2 Budweiser products.
