The Greenville Drive are back at Fluor Field for a four-game series with the Lexington Legends, an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, beginning on Friday, June 30thand running through Monday, July 3rd. Although the Drive won’t be at home on July 4th, you can get the holiday started off early, as Fluor Field will play host to a patriotic-themed weekend featuring tributes to our country and our military, spectacular postgame fireworks shows on Friday and Monday, and great entertainment for Drive fans of all ages!

The homestand begins on Friday, June 30th at 7:05 PM, and you’re invited to chill out at “Frozen Fluor” presented by the Drive and United Community Bank Ice on Main! The fun begins when the gates open at 6:00, as the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a ticket to skate at Ice on Main this winter. Kids will enjoy visits from ice princesses and mascots, and any child who dresses up as their favorite ice princess or snowy character will receive an ice cream voucher. Stick around following the game for the Hubbell Lighting “Light it Up” Friday Night Fireworks show, where the musical theme will continue the Frozen Fluor promotion.

On Saturday, July 1st, grab your popcorn and the remote control, then kick your feet up and enjoy TV Tunes Night at Fluor Field! First pitch is at 7:05 PM, and all evening long, your favorite TV theme songs will be played. Whether you like The Office, Law and Order, Saved by the Bell or Spongebob Squarepants, you’re guaranteed to hear one of your favorites. The Drive are also teaming up with the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands for Girl Scouts Day. Girl Scouts will be recognized before the game in pregame honorary positions, and they will get to participate in between-innings entertainment as well.

Join the Drive on Sunday, July 2nd for a special Military Appreciation Day celebration at Fluor Field. The game against the Lexington Legends will begin at 4:05 PM, and throughout the day, the Drive will team up with Upstate Warrior Solutions, a nonprofit that assists warriors with future opportunities and encourages the community to embrace them as neighbors and friends. Prior to the game, the Drive will have a special military vehicle display on Field Street for kids to take pictures with. The military celebrations will also begin before the game with a fly-in by the U.S. Army Special Forces Parachute Team and a flyover of Warbirds Vintage Aircrafts, along with compelling programming honoring our veterans throughout the game. The Drive are honored to partner with Fluor, Hubbell Lighting, GHS and Bradshaw Automotive to recognize the brave men and women who have served, or continue to serve, our country as part of this special day. The patriotic celebration continues on Monday, July 3rd with the final game of the homestand at 7:05 PM. The fun begins after gates open with the Carolina Pride Hot Dog Eating Contest! Hot dog eating contests are a staple of the July 4th holiday, so join us before the game to see the next Joey Chestnut in action! The contest will feature winners of the Carolina Pride eating preliminaries held during recent games at Fluor Field, as well as past eating champions, and the winner of Monday’s contest will receive prize packs from the Drive and Carolina Pride. Stick around following the game for a spectacular fireworks show featuring patriotic music that will get you ready to celebrate July 4th!
