Furman Engaged is April 13! Here is what you need to know

The 13th annual Furman Engaged is almost upon us! Here is what to know to make the most of this exciting event.

Furman Engaged, held virtually this year on April 13, will feature presentations across disciplines as we celebrate the immersive learning experiences available through The Furman Advantage. At the center of the day’s activities will be the public sharing of students’ work, representing the final step of these deep learning experiences, which include internships, research, service learning, study away, creative projects, first-year writing seminars and capstone experiences.

To get access to the online program, you must register for Furman Engage.

If attending or presenting, consider updating your zoom app and consulting this one-page guide for attendees. Also, check out these Furman Engaged zoom backgrounds  you can use when you attend sessions!

Students – consider participating in these activities and win great prizes!

After you attend and/or present at sessions, enter the reflection contest to win $100. Participate in purple shoes gallery walk – a scavenger hunt to find and record posters hung throughout campus to win Furman Purple Nike’s. Also vote on your favorite poster! Win a milkshake night in the Clash of Classes! Seniors and first years are a team; Juniors and sophomores are a team. Whoever has more attendees wins a milkshake night!

April 12:  Furman Engaged opens at 4 p.m. with the Pitch Competition sponsored by the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
