(upbeat music) – Hi, I’m Meaghan Murphy, the content director of Woman’s Day Magazine. Happy almost Thanksgiving! I know you’re gonna gobble up these fun and easy ways to help celebrate, starting with pretty place settings. I love chalkboard paper because you can just write all over it. I use these black ones and a little bit of chalkboard ink, and write guests names and doodle some fun designed to make your table unique and personal. You can also skip out on doing the dishes and spend more time with your family and less time over the sink this year with fabulous dinnerware that looks high-end, but is totally disposable. All of that is paper or plastic, completely recyclable. It’s also great for sending leftovers home with guests or making a plate to send over to your neighbor who might be alone this holiday. Gratitude jars, it’s the perfect way for family and friends to reflect on what they’re thankful for. These really cute gratitude jars come fully assembled with little place cards to write the things you’re grateful on, or you could DIY, so take any kind of a glass hurricane, a glass vase. You can use wine markers, stickers, or if you have a Cricut to do a message on it, like give thanks and then just have your guests fill it up with little papers. And for the kiddos, keep ’em busy with activity placemats. These are really fun with tic-tac-toe and things to color. And this is one of my favorite crafts from Woman’s Day this season, pilgrim hat crayon holders! What, look at how cute that is. You’re just gonna take a cup, put a piece of ribbon and a button around it, glue it onto a base, cut out the bottom, and fill it up with your crayons. Now that I’ve taken care of all of your place settings and decor, you just have to cook the turkey.

Happy almost Thanksgiving from Woman’s Day! I know you’ll gobble up these fun and easy ways to help celebrate. Below are some great ideas for place settings and decor that also make cleanup a snap. All you’ll have left to do is cook the turkey.

Pilgrim Hat Crayon Holder Craft

Lastly, create a cute pilgrim hat holder for the markers or crayons at the kids table.

To do this craft, wrap gold ribbon around a black paper cup. Glue the ribbon into place, then glue on a gold button. Next, glue the cup to a piece of black cardstock paper that’s been cut into rounds slightly larger than the cup. Finally, cut the bottom of the cup out and pop the crayons in!
