Zataban is a group of seasoned professional musicians that share a love of Southern music in its many permutations, as well as similar music backgrounds and a respect for each other’s abilities and ideas. What we hope to accomplish is to put a twist on the typical idea of Southern music by fusing blues, soul, jazz, and New Orleans funk with a relaxed, but intense style of playing.
In addition to our original music, all material is carefully hand-picked with an emphasis on the less often heard, and bears our personal stamp. In each note played, we hope to express our passion for the music. Thanks to each of you for your support of Zataban and we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoy performing for you.
