Be part of Spartanburg’s most spooktacular Halloween event! The Trick or Trot 5K & Kid’s Zombie Dash presented by MassMutual & Benefiting PAL.
Runners, walkers, and zombies are invited to The Rail Yard on Saturday, Oct. 31. Choose from three optional heats: 8:30am, 9:15am, or 10am, then complete either the USATF certified 5K course or quarter-mile zombie loop to compete for prizes and awards. All 5K participants will receive an exclusive Silipint™. No matter the distance, all finishers receive candy at the finish line!

5K awards will be presented in the following categories:
—Top 3 fastest male and female overall
—Top 3 fastest male and female in each age group: 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
—Top 10 closest to predicted times
—Top 3 best costumes

RunGSP is excited to return to racing! We’ve spent months researching what industry leaders are implementing and developing our own Covid-19 protocols that reflect the most current information available. A few noticeable additions you’ll find on site are:
1) Reduced participant density at the start line
2) Physical barriers between volunteers and participants
3) Sanitation stations throughout common areas

Developed by the Partners for Active Living and the City of Spartanburg, this multi-million dollar community park has blossomed in recent years. Features include The Watershed Amphitheater, The Carolina Panthers Play60 Challenge Course, and The brand new Vic Bailey Subaru Bike Park. This space will serve as “home base” for us on race morning, providing a safe, open air environment to congregate.
Q: Where and when is packet pickup?
A: Check-in @The Rail Yard (353 Forest Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302) between 7an-9:45am on race morning.
Q: Will the course be closed to traffic?
A: The Spartanburg Police Department will keep the race course clear of vehicular traffic.
Q: Will there be water stops?
A: Water will be available at the halfway point
Q: Will results be available on site?
A: Live Results will be available. Awards will be calculated once all participants have finished, and then distributed by mail.
Q: Can we walk?
A: Yes! The timing system will operate from 8:30am-11am.
Q: Are strollers allowed?

Q: What is the Zombie Dash?
A: ~400-meter “fun run” that loops around the Rail Yard Park. It can be completed solo or with friends/family anytime between 8:30am-11am.
