TED Circles is an open platform of small, intimate groups that engage in conversation about ideas around a monthly theme. TEDxHeritageGreen is hosting a series of these gatherings—a total of eight in August alone!
“How Change Happens” is the theme around which TED Circle hosts all over the world are focusing discussions during August.
“Here and Now” is an ongoing theme around which we explore a pressing issue in Upstate South Carolina communities.
ABOUT EACH SESSION
There’s no preparation—just grab a beverage, get comfy with your device, and log on via Zoom. Your host will arrive 10 minutes early in case you want to check your tech and chat a little.
We’ll watch a TED or TEDx video together, discuss the concepts presented there, and log takeaways to share online with the local TEDxHeritageGreen and global TEDx communities. Be ready to make new friends!
Please know that many TEDxHeritageGreen gatherings are designed to ensure that diverse audiences are represented, so there’s a chance we’ll discuss ideas and perspectives very different from your own. It’s our intention to create a safe space that will encourage diverse individuals and groups to find common ground—building empathy, connections, and bridges.
