Summer Camp: Music

Children will explore the history and context behind the Upcountry’s different genres of music, including the impact of slave spirituals and folk music on the creation of blues, jazz, bluegrass, country, and rock-n-roll. Children will learn dance moves, create various musical instruments, and better understand the role music plays in telling the story of our past. 2020 SUMMER CAMPS: Children can choose from weekly themed camps that will cover various areas of history, art, music and even venture behind-the-scenes of the Museum world. Each week we will offer: - 3-hour morning camp for children ages 6-12 - plenty of hands-on learning opportunities - creative activities and art projects - the chance to explore our past in ways a typical visit to the Museum would not allow COST: UHM Members - $150 Non-members - $170 Find out more about our weekly Summer Camps at: https://www.upcountryhistory.org/educational-resources/summercamps/
