Spring Reedy River Cleanup

Please join Friends of the Reedy River for our big Spring Reedy River Cleanup on Saturday, March 16th! Come on out, get your feet wet & make an impact on your community & the Reedy River while cleaning up the Reedy & its riverbanks! Please invite your family, friends, and co-workers to sign up and join you on Saturday, March 16th! What to Wear/Bring: - Long pants/old sneakers you don't mind getting dirty or wet - Bring waders or boots if you have them - Reusable water bottles, hats, bug spray, and sunscreen are highly recommended Everything needed for the cleanup- such as trash grabbers, gloves, vests, trash bags, tools, etc. will be provided by FoRR! This is a rain or shine event but in the event of a downpour, the reschedule date will be Saturday, March 23rd *Please contact us at odunn@friendsofthereedyriver.org if you are planning on bringing a child under the age of 12. We ask that any child under the age of 12 have a parent present. Safety is our utmost concern & this is to help us determine the best location for you & your participants. Schedule of events: - 8:00 - 8:30 AM --> Check-in at your chosen location (the 2 options are below) - 8:30 - 11:30 AM --> Clean the Reedy! *Volunteers who wish to work in and around downtown Greenville should check in at St. Matthew UMC Greenville (701 Cleveland St). *Volunteers who wish to work at sites off the Swamp Rabbit Trail/Cedar Lane Rd. should check in at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery (205 Cedar Lane Rd).
