South Downtown Master Plan

Don’t miss this chance to view the latest ideas for the areas between Church and Augusta Streets, talk with the consultant and share your vision for how these areas should be redeveloped. The City of Greenville, in conjunction with the public and Urban Design Associates, has been working on a Small Area Plan for the areas adjacent to the proposed County Square initiative. The study area includes land adjacent to Church Street and Augusta Street from Falls Park in the north to the intersection of Augusta and Church in the south. This investigation explores how redevelopment patterns could be organized and street and trail networks improved to create a series of distinctive neighborhoods with appropriate scale and uses. The Plan suggests a series of character precincts defined by street frontages, building types, and public spaces including neighborhood trails and parks. The objective is to reach consensus on a vision for this area so the City of Greenville can modify zoning and land use regulations to reflect the desired character and scale throughout. Link: ttps://
