The Knee-High Naturalist program offers two, 1.5 hour, classes per month to pre-kindergarten students. There is a 6 class series offered each season (except winter). Due to the popularity of the program we are now offering two different time periods for classes; you can choose from Thursday afternoon OR Friday morning.
The first class is ANIMAL TRACKS! Animals can be hard to see in nature. Come and learn about the different tracks animals make. We will explore the park for signs of tracks and then create a plaster cast of your favorite track that you can take home!
Ages: 3-6 year olds (must be accompanied by an adult, no younger siblings allowed unless they will remain in a carrier the entire trip, no strollers please)
Where: TBD, we will email all participants the location for each class
When:
– Thursday, March 8th – 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
– Friday, March 9th – 9:30 am -11:00 am
Cost: $10/child per class
– 3 session pack – $25/child
– all 6 sessions – $50
Registration: Pre-registration is required by the Tuesday before each class.
Please pay attention to which day your are buying a class or package for.
These classes will occur rain or shine! For dangerous weather events we will reschedule the class.
A minimum of 5 participants is required.
