In case of rain, Into the Woods will be performed in Wren Pavilion adjacent to Carolina Wren Park.
Expanding on the success of Shakespeare in the Park, Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed Into the Woods will transport audiences on a musical journey under the stars, right in the middle of downtown Anderson. Bringing together the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and others, Into the Woods follows a quest to break a curse, defeat a giant, and find happiness. This modern day fairy tale turns “happily ever after” on its head while bringing together all of our favorite characters.
Directed by Noah Taylor
Music Direction by Julie Florin
Choreography by Ashley Bingham
Presented in partnership with the City of Anderson
Book by James Lapine, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
